Does anyone know what’s causing these little brown spots to appear on my golden pothos?
Does anyone know what’s causing these little brown spots to appear on my golden pothos?
Did you look it all over and find any bugs?
0 LikesI haven’t seen any bugs at all
0 LikesCould be fungal/bacterial. Is your soil drying before you water again? Pull it out of the pot and give it a sniff 😖
0 LikesYes I let my soil dry out completely in between watering. Could I maybe be fertilizing her too often? I recently heard that could be a problem :(
2 Likesit could be if you aren’t properly diluting. i know some people who fertilize with every water, but they’ll do 1/4 strength. I fertilize every other water during active seasons. normally though, fertilizer burn is much more yellow — or leaves will drop. when you water are you flushing it completely so that water runs through the drainage? sometimes fertilizer and minerals from tap can build up in the soil and make your plants sad
2 Likesope…i see a very cool disco ball planter. does your pot *have* drainage? 👀
1 LikeI follow the diluting instructions on my fertilizer bottle. My pot does have drainage it’s in a nursery pot inside the disco planter :) and yes I do make sure the water runs through the holes. So I’m not sure 🤔
0 LikesI also forgot to add that I have only been fertilizing every other time I water
0 LikesKeep an eye on it. If it worsens or spreads, repot in slightly chunkier soil and start bottom watering. Make sure you let the pot drain completely before placing back into your planter. I’ve had the same issue before and it wasn’t really affecting the plant as a whole.
