It’s beautiful! I’m not sure what it is, but if you’re watering it everyday you may possibly be over watering it.

0 likesNot sure the exact species but this is some type of bromeliad. Could be guzmania? I’d recommend looking up bromeliad specific articles. But I would say you’re probably overwatering. Filtered water is the best. They like their soil to dry out completely between watering. They also have “tanks” that need to be filled and like a decent amount of humidity. You also may want to double check that it’s in a proper substrate, bromeliads need a well draining mix.

0 likesI’ve only had one bromeliad and it did well until the cat killed it. It liked being misted twice a day, but watered once every week or 2, when the soil was dry. I hope you find the right solution, cause it’s beautiful! Good luck :)
1 likeLooks like a bromiliad. Are you watering ’the right way’? The bromiliads I have need watering from the top, between leaves instead of bottom watering or putting water on top of the soil directly. Yours is different than mine, so maybe I’m wrong, but maybe worth checking on?
0 likesI was watering on bottom and daily. That may be my mistake.
