I forgot to take good pictures when I checked her, so enjoy the funny Pic of me looking like I've thrown her lol. My adansonii just hates being alive 😭 I've upgraded her pot, given her a personal grow light, and tried to water before she droops and when the soil is dry. But no matter what she just throws a hissy fit no matter what. Her roots are extremely healthy so I can only assume i overwaterd. Can someone give advice? Should I invest in a moisture meter?

Perhaps the soil is too compact and so it’s making it so much easier for it to be overwatered. Try adding orchid bark or extra perlite to the mix. I don’t let my adasonii dry out, she stays consistent moist. Also you might want to take a cutting or separate the plant if you’re having trouble with it, that way you don’t lose money due to it throwing tantrumsâ˜ș

I have 3 branches on a pole, which is much to manage so I'll definitely be separating! Thanks for the advice! I feel like she might throw another tantrum if I fully repot her though so do you think putting her in an orchid pot to provide airflow might be a good alternative step to take? She's been caged in a death plug and repotted only a month ago, so I don't want to do a drastic change so soon when her roots are nice

Then maybe wait on it or only try to repot one of the plants in the bunch to see if it works. My other thought is lime sensitivity. What do you use to water and fertilize (if you do that)

I use tap water treated with water conditioner to get rid of the flouride and chlorine, and also use a gentle 1-1-1 fertilizer at half/quarters strength [i alternative between synthetic and organic but both have same values]

You can always try a different water but I don’t see any issues with that. Double check your fertilizers are okay for Monstera/Tropical Plants. I’d repot one of the bunches (without yellow leaves or chop the yellow) and see if it grows better. If you have any Pon on hand it could be a good experiment for that also because they do great in Pon

I have mine in a chunky soil mix and it grows like crazy.

I use moisture meters all the time. I want to make that I can go really deep into the soil.
