Any idea why my roots would be rotting? I change the water weekly, add a little hydrogen peroxide and fertilizer each time, and clean off anything mushy. But it seems that a lot of the ends are rotting.

I don’t think you need to change the water as frequently

From this pic the roots look good - can you take a close up of the roots you think are rotting? I don’t change my prop water per say but I will top off weekly or just let water run for a bit to flush out anything and add more oxygen to the water (I couldn’t be entirely wrong in that thinking but it seems to work out for me lol)

I hardly change my water. Take it out and trim any black/soft/mushy roots. Make sure you’re using lukewarm water when you’re rinsing it off and refilling the jar. When they grow in water regular pruning of the roots can really make a difference. Why are you using the hydrogen peroxide?

Peroxide is used to clean off root rot. Seems like they got confused and thought to use it as a full-time solution.

I used to not change the water as frequently until it started getting really gross after a week. And I started adding a little hydrogen peroxide to help with that and feel it really does make a difference. I guess just wondering if it’s normal to have a little rot and to continue cleaning/pruning roots regularly?
