So my umbrella plant looks sick. Don’t know what’s ailing it. Not sure how to treat it. Was thinking of taking alcohol and a q-tip and rubbing the “lesions” to see if I could get rid of them. Any advise?

I definitely see scale but maybe something else too? My umbrella plant recently had scale as well. I did what you suggested and used alcohol to rub off every one that I saw, sometimes using my nails to scrape them off. I also sprayed afterwards with a pesticide - you can either make your own with insecticidal soap and diluted alcohol or buy one that says “scale” on the list of things it kills. After that I sprayed every time I watered and removed any scale I saw but it went away pretty quickly and he’s fully recovered now!

Scale, especially on the backs of the leaves. That’s a lot. Isolate the plant. Check all the plants for scale. Wear disposable gloves and wipe them off with isopropyl alcohol on a soft cloth. Remove all of them. Treat with neem oil, insecticidal soap
