HELP!! How much hydrogen peroxide (to a gallon) should I use on my cape sundew seedlings for fungus gnats? I found fungus gnat larvae on my newly germinated seedlings, this is my first time sewing seeds AND my first encounter with pests… so im a little stressed. Ive seen mixed recommendations on H202/water ratios for seedlings and larvae, so any help is appreciated! For now though it seems that all of the adult gnats have been taken care of via the mother sundew.

Hey! I had a really bad fungus gnat infestation last year - repotted 5 of my plants but turns out the soil I used had larvae in it so they all got infested 😭 it’s super stressful I get you! I didn’t use H2O2 , I ordered this bacteria treatment off Amazon and a load of sticky traps. You want to trap the adult flies on the traps and the peroxide/bacteria treatment kills the larvae in the soil. The most important thing is to continue the treatment for long enough (3 months I think but not too sure) and to keep your plants under watered in the meantime - the gnats love damp soil so keeping it dry will help. I can link the treatment I used if you’re interested x (ps this is obviously only my experience and I’m no plant expert so if anyone has better advice I would also love to hear!)

Thank you! Could you send me the link to the treatment if you can?

Tried to add the link but community guidelines have banned URLs x but it’s called Plant GP Anti Fungus Gnat Treatment and I got it on Amazon

I use a 4:1 water to HP ratio.

Is this ratio safe for seedlings?

Hmmm, good question, I’ve never used it on seedlings. Maybe do a 5:1 or 6:1 ratio instead.
