Lo

Which pests look like black or grey dots (size of a pinprick)? I never would have noticed them until I looked EXTREMELY hard after I saw some yellowing on my dumb cane. I don’t have a magnifying glass but it doesn’t appear that they fly. Just teeny tiny dots that I can smush. Thanks!

Do you see any VERY, VERY fine webbing? (Almost looks like a mist!) On the stems and/or undersides of the leaves. Probably spider mites. There are a number of insecticides you can use. I’ve had good luck with GrowSafe.

Could be aphids if all white, all green, all yellow or all black. Wash off with a hose spray and treat with neem oil or insecticidal soap.

Sounds like possibly thrips? I’ve been on an uphill battle with those this spring. Neem oil spray at the ready! Good luck!
