I noticed this on my dragon scale this morning. I didn’t see it there yesterday. There is a new leaf coming up. Could that be why it’s going yellow?

Yes its a normal thing for alocasias

For growth. They sacrifice themselves for when there is new growth. They turn yellow and die.
