I guess I'm destined to not own "string of" plants. This Bananas was thriving. I let it get bone dry. Watered it (soil is damp not soggy) and now she's wilting. So basically never water them? Will she recover? Should I keep a grow light on her 24/7 so she dries out? Urg!!!

When you watered, did you water till water was coming out of bottom drain hole? They are a succulent so they need fast draining gritty soil. You did right by not watering till bone dry but then you should drench them.

Are you watering from the bottom or top? Mine seem to prefer the bottom. And I water when the soil is about half dry, then I bottom soak for about an hour. They also hate change and will act dramatic about it.

Bottom but i probably poured some on top to flush soil. Have only watered once & this is what happened. Meanwhile I watered the string of tears & ruby that came in same bundle & they're both fine. Something about the bananas & dolphins doesn't like me.

I am feeling that way, too. All my plants are doing pretty well except my string of coins pepperspot peperomia. She’s suffering. I just acquired a string of turtles and I’m hoping I’ll have better luck from what I learned from my pepperspot. I need to be better at leaving my plants alone.

That’s a cute little turtle. My Master Oogway just arrived recently and he’s impressive. I hope he continues to thrive. My poor Pippa Spot is looking really sad. I’ve only had her about a month poor thing.
