I propagated this baby spider plant into this jar a few months back and it was totally healthy and doing great, but over the last few weeks and or months it’s took 10 for the worst and I don’t know what’s wrong with it. Can somebody help please because I don’t know what to do.🪴🌸🌿 PS, there was another spider plant baby that I propagated to watch at the same time and it’s currently thriving in a different location but they have the same amount of light. Why might this be?
It looks like this particular baby might be getting too much light and too little nutrients. I've found putting cuttings in clear glass jars by the window can cause a lot of direct heating to the water, which can drop oxygen levels. I would pull it back a couple feet, let it get indirect bright light rather than direct sunlight, drop it into a darker glass jar or a cup that isn't see through, and give it a little time. Set a reminder to change water every two-three days so it can get all the oxygen it needs. Also I would suggest adding water conditioner, I even use the ones for reptiles to get rid of chlorine which works like a charm, as they are sensitive to the minerals in regular tap water. That is a long time to be in water without more growth. I put a couple in water a week ago and they already have roots. I might suggest a smaller/more shallow/narrow opening jar. Mine is about 3 inches tall, about 1 inch opening, and only the root area is in the water, no leaves. I check every 2-3 days that the growth area is just touching the water. Yours seems a little deep and falling into the water. I might put a small drop of liquid plant food in the water too. Just a couple ideas.

it’s definitely a good idea to rig something up to keep the leaves from the water, personally when i was saving a bonsai I used a patron bottle or you could use something with a smaller opening. i also know they make containers that have like little gridded terraces that you place your plant on so it can still access the water below but still sit comfortably on top. I did something similar with two differently sized mason jar lids to transport a part of my basket plant :)
