HELP my peace lily 😭 I’ve had this peace lily for a couple months now. When I first got it, it was in great shape but slowly the leaves started browning and the blooms were dying very quickly. I repotted it with fresh soil and nothing changed. I tried using filtered water, I read that peace lilies are sensitive to chemicals in the tap water, after that not making any difference I repotted again but this time cleaned and trimmed some of the roots that might have had root rot. It lost a lot of foliage, but it’s still growing new leaves. The little leaves that are coming in have brown tips already. I’ve also noticed it takes a long time for the soil to dry up. Any ideas??

I think you should go down in pot size. Since you’re struggling with the soil staying wet too long and root rot. The brown tips are likely an indicator of poor root health

About this size, make sure it’s not too deep. I prefer nursery pots because of the drainage holes

You always want your roots to be 1-2 inches smaller than the pot. So you want to leave about a inch or two of space around the pot to allow the roots to breathe.

They like moist soil but that looks almost totally organic. Perhaps adding some perlite would help aerate it a bit.

Thank you! I’ll add perlite when I repot to a smaller pot
