I’ve had this dieffenbachia for about 11 months and it has been a struggle. It’s been consistently yellowing and dropping leaves but also growing new leaves. I repotted in April to try and bring it back to health but it seems worse. I am not sure if it is worth saving anymore.. I mist with distilled water and it sits in very bright indirect light from staircase windows. I water when soil is dry and let the water drain out the drainage hole. It is potted in all purpose indoor potting mix mixed with extra perlite. Any help would be appreciated! Wondering if I could propagate what’s left to give it another chance.

I don’t think you could save it. Propagating while not being 100% success would probably work better than trying to fix it.

Was it getting a lot of draft in its last spot? That could’ve been part of it. If you do keep going forward with this plant it’s gonna be a long waiting game probably. I’d cut off the top of the two little stems. You could try to seal them with some wax so they don’t keep deteriorating. You can try adding a cloche of some sort to increase humidity, which might help it push out growth faster

If this a spot is where it lives, its not getting enough light. They like to be in the window getting indirect light. I repotted mine and that stressed it out and lost a few leaves, but has bounced back. Give more light.
