Can anyone help me please!!!! My plant was so beautiful for the first 6 months after I brought him home, I was taking proper care and then all of a sudden it just started dying out of the blue. I’ve watered, waited to water, given vitamins and electrolytes and nothing has helped. I have been watering it on a fixed schedule as to not drown it. Please help this is one of my favourites 🥲

Is this a succulent? How often have you been watering? 😬

I believe it is a succulent. I let it completely dry out before watering it again as that’s what’s best for them so I know I haven’t been over watering or under watering.

That’s good for sure, when did you buy it, have you changed the soil or looked at the roots recently?

It’s about 6 months old. If its roots aren’t properly grounded I don’t want to search through the soil and possibly uproot it. Its stems are still bright green and it seems to be rooted well. The soil is moist (as I watered it today because it was dried out), I’m just confused as to why it looks like that if the stems and everything else looks healthy

Okay, it’s probably a pest or fungal related. Especially if the soil it came in was infected, so if you don’t want to repot, I’d at least take off all the dry/rotted leaves and see if the stems will push out any new good leaves

this is good advice. remove the dead stuff and get it into new well-draining soil with more light and see what the stems do

Looks either REALLY thirsty or spider mites. When you water you have to fully saturate the soil.

It is definitely not thirsty. I’ve been drenching it, letting the soil dry out completely and then repeating. All of my other plants are fine and healthy and growing.

Then it’s gotta be the dreaded spider mites… it might come back with swift treatments.

Looks like a severe case of spider mites, sorry for your loss

Wouldn’t they affect my other plants though? All of my other ones are healthy, bright and growing

Unless you see webbing I don’t know why we’re jumping to spider mites. These look like hens & chicks succulents which spread as ground cover. My guess is that the watering wasn’t quite right because of how deep this pot is and inadequate light, as these are taller than they should be. If you’re saturating this when you water, then it’s almost certainly too much water because these root systems tend to spread outwards rather than down, so you’ve probably got some rot. There looks to be some viable green on top of the one plant — you could snip that and put it on top of some fresh soil. OR throw it outside — these are very cold hardy and spread like mad

What do you mean vitamins and electrolytes by the way?? 🤔
