Hi, My philodendron black cardinal fell & damaged one of the stem/leaf area. It’s not fully snapped & the bend is closer to the base of the leaf area. I’ve currently staked the area to give it more support, but should I just cut away the area? Photos are of the bend with/without stake. Thanks!
this leaf will be okay i think. the bend isn't super crazy. support it only long enough to heal the wound and then take the stake away so it can harden to support itself

I think this is a regal rouge, not black cardinal.. here's my regal
And Black Cardinal (recent pest issue) leaves not quite as long and narrow
