Does anyone know why my money tree’s leaves are turning yellow? I’m afraid to overwater because I had an issue with fungus gnats. So is it underwatered? New to being a plant mom and need all the help I can get. Thank you!

My stepson has one and it has 2 leaves like this that fell off and it’s healthy I have been seeing a lot of people having this problem I’m wondering if this is just what it dose during the the cold weather

If the rest of the plant appears healthy, producing new leaves and pest free, I would just remove the leaves (I'm going to assume they're likely the lowest leaves on the branch) and continue to monitor. My money tree goes through short phases of dumping a lot of lower leaves to promote more foliage at the top and sides that get a better view of the window. It's a moderate drinker, so make sure the soil isn't too soggy - they're pretty easy going otherwise.
3 J'aimeI want to say maybe move it away from the window, money trees are sensitive to cold and drafts. Money trees turn yellow if it's too cold
1 j'aimeIt has been really cold and it’s near the window so I’ll def move it!
0 J'aimeIf you’re worried about fungus gnats, make sure your room has some airflow to make sure the soil doesn’t stay damp for too long. also systemic granules have been a life saver for me against mites and gnats. just mix it into the top inch or two of your pot and water. (don’t over water, wait til the next watering cycle) makes the plant toxic to pests:)
1 j'aimeOh I use the granules and make the tea with it and it’s worked. It was a nightmare the first time before I knew about them!
