Ginseng bonsai... She's dropping some leaves, not as often probably 2x a week? I'm still confused about her watering. It's she supposed to stay moist or dry in between? She's on pure Akadama substrate. She's a month old with me. She's under 16 hours of grow light. I'm kind of worried. Any tips?
Wow that soil composition I have never seen before. Try not to move it maybe repot into a better soil composition. One of my bonsai’s dropped its leafs but they came back over time.

1 mi piace Akadamas are used for bonsai. It was on organic succulent mix 2 weeks (or a week) ago, and it was dropping more leaves. Also, to avoid root-rot. Do you keep yours moist or dry in between watering? I haven't nailed that part yet.

All of my ficus get upset for a while after they get moved or repotted, that can make it drop leaves. I would just let it be for a while and let it get used to its new space. A 100% akadama mix is a bit unusual, so make sure it’s getting enough water. I’d keep it moist while it’s acclimating.
