Hi all! I just bought a beautiful Bonsai from Costco. It appears to be a Fukien Tea Bonsai. I am concerned because I don’t see any drainage holes on the bottom of the ceramic pot it came in. Does it need to be repotted because of that? It seems weird they might have sold me the plant in a pot that isn’t suitable! It looks very content in the pot right now but it’s only Day 2 in my home. Any advice welcome.
i have one of these as well and i’d say the drainage is pretty important when i water mine i completely soak the soil through and let all the water drain out of the bottom and it keeps it very healthy

Repot into a pot with drainage search up the layers of soil you need for that particular type of bonsai.
いいね 1件Yes, I would definitely repot the tree into a pot with two drainage holes or one at least. It’s very easy to kill a tree when in a pot with no drainage holes.
