I’ve had my juniper bonsai for over a year and it hasn’t grown. It sits the same window with about 8 hours of bright indirect light daily. It’s next to a heat register, and I water it from the top and in the saucer beneath. The leaves started to brown on the end of the branches, so I trimmed the brown bits and changed the soil to bonsai soil about a week ago and made sure the roots had plenty of room to grow in the soil. But now the ends are starting to brown again. Any advice/ideas as to why the tips are browning and it’s not growing?

    Juniper’s need to live outdoors. They also need dormancy in the winter time. Failing those to things it will die. I learnt the hard way too!

    Outside sunlight, sunlight key word here, during the winter and summer months unless it’s below 32f. Also, keep track of pruning during spring it will help during the fall when the leaves are mature from the summer. If stressed with the same fertilizer think of adding some plant food but not too much.
