    That almost looks like a ZZ plant, anybody able to confirm?

      Ya I was thinking it was a ZZ as well

      If it's a ZZ plant then probably just give it bright indirect light and water it once or twice a month

    Zz plants can't be trained into bonsai because they don't ever develop a woody stem. Still a nice plant, but it'll never look like a tiny tree. For an actual indoor/tropical beginner bonsai, I'd recommend ficus benjamina; they're wonderful to work with, they develop jungley aerial roots, and they're super forgiving of mistakes

    Yes it looks like a zz but it’s actually a ficus ginseng(ficus microcarpa)
