My bonsai is sadly struggling. It transformed from a lush leafy and happy tree (pictured in October 2025) into the sad tree you see now (pictured 5th May). It’s now completely leafless! A scratch test revealed green underneath. I’m misting the branches a few times a day to prevent them from drying out, hoping this will encourage new buds and leaves. Could anyone offer some advice on how to revive it?

I overwatered my Chinese elm bonsai when I first got him and he yellowed then dropped most of his leaves…I adjusted watering after that and the start of spring has sown much improvement!

Does it need to be repotted? My Carmona dropped leaves like crazy until I figured out it didn't like my fertilizer. The leaves always grew back though.
