So Iā€™ve recently bought my first bonsai (juniper) and I think I have a good grasp on taking care of it, but thereā€™s one thing that Iā€™m not sure about. Iā€™m going to be moving around a lot this year for school and family events and Iā€™m the only one I trust to take care of her. However I hear they can get stressed easily so does anyone have any advice on how to keep the poor thing happy while being moved around. Or am I just overthinking this entirely and itā€™s really not that big of a deal? Thanks in advance for any advice

    Hmmā€¦like any plant, some plants donā€™t like being moved around a lot, but when you donā€™t have a choice it canā€™t be helped. PLUS keep in mind the temperature and humidity of its new inside or outside environment. Iā€™D invest in for example in Goveeā€™s Hygrometer Thermometer (helps to monitor the temperature and humidity of its inside or outside environment and what actions to take or even not take at all) and invest in the fertilizer ā€œSuperthriveā€. Iā€™ve had to move a lot in past and what helped my bonsai (I have bonsai ficuses) thrive was that fertilizer. It helps them deal with the stress of being moved around a lot :)

      I have been looking into getting a thermometer for a while now so Iā€™ll get on that. Also when I got my bonsai they gave me about a years worth of a fertilizer called ā€œgreen green,ā€ would you happen to know if that would work in place of the superthrive?

      Okay I made the mistake of mistaking SuperThrive as a fertilizer. It is a vitamin supplement and hormone supplement to help plants your Juniper ā€œstrong root growth, stress recovery, and over all root recoveryā€. You donā€™t have to use SuperThrive right away (but if I were you with all the moving youā€™ve been doing, your Juniper will survive better), but if you end up deciding to, you CAN use it alongside Green Green fertilizer.

    In my experience juniper is sensitive to heat. Be gentle about any moves to warmer areas, and any time you move it, try to let it adjust gradually. Also if it does get stressed, giving it a few days of less light can help with recovery. Avoid any drastic temperature changes. Also junipers tend to be seriously underwatered at stores. If it dies almost immediately, that's probably why

      Thanks! Iā€™ve had mine for about 3 weeks and everything looks alright so I think mine was at least somewhat taken care of
