This is my very first bonsais. It's Fukien tea tree. I know nothing about it. I'm trying to learn online. Any and all info would be helpful

    Hey there! Looks a like great start, lots of new growth which is a sign of a healthy tree. 🙂 A few things to do when possible: - Repot using a well draining soil. Bonsai are not like other plants. A mixture of peat moss, grit, akadama and pumice is ideal (akadama can be found on Amazon, be sure to filter it so you don’t mix dust into your soil). - Traditionalists will tell you you need a proper bonsai pot but all you need is something that is lower in height and has holes to drain water. - Grab some clean trimmers and trim to shape. I see two clear layers to this tree but I’ll let you decide where to cut back. The hardest cut is the first cut! - Last tip! When repotting, cut back the roots about 1/3. This will promote new growth and general health of the tree. Good luck and keep us updated!
