Attached 4 layers of wax paper to decrease the intensity of the Soltech Vita Grow Light since it’s on a fixed lamp. Hopefully this works out for the long term and I don’t end up burning or melting the paper to the grow light.

One of my Monstera cuttings, that I didn’t even think would survive, sprouted a root! Naturally I immediately went and bought a propagation station 😂

I bought some really pretty pots but I didn’t realize that they didn’t have drainages in the bottom. I want to add them so I can still have the pot but my plants will get plenty of drainage. Has anyone tried to put drainage holes in the bottom of ceramic pots? Any tips?

Does anyone have any good resources for using grow lights? I bought some and read that the plants have to be a certain distance away from it to grow properly.

I am wanting to start watering my plants w liquid dirt. And I’ve seen some say this isn’t an actual fertilizer but more of a supplement. So for any of u using this…what else can I use to fertilize but still be able to use liquid dirt.

what is a good part to part for soil, perlite, and orchid bark? i’m wanting to use that mixture for all of my plants, but mostly my tropical plants that require the soil to be moist, but not wet for a long time. very worried about getting root rot for some of my expensive plants so i’m wanting to have a soil that is perfect for them. any other recommendations are welcomed as well. :)

I have some vermiculite over from sowing seeds. I don’t know what else I can use it for. Can I switch out perlite in soil mixes for vermiculite? Or is it a bad idea?
