TIL that Christmas cactuses are epiphytes… what?!?! Had no idea. What kind of pots/planters do you use for your epiphytes? I have this really cool hanging planter that’s perfect for my staghorn fern (photo). I wish I could find more of these. I’d like to repot my rabbit’s foot fern, and would like to give her the perfect new home. 🪴🏡💚 What do you recommend?
If you can’t find more of these I would just make them yourself somehow. Looks cool

😮 I also just learned that Hoya are epiphytes like yesterday lol. I haven’t mounted any plants yet, but I think it would be cool to grow a smaller epiphyte on a big section of cork bark. Christmas cactus would need something bigger for the long term 🤔 Maybe it would like the type of airy hanging pots that some orchids are grown in. Like this one

This is an old Thanksgiving Cactus I have - I use Better Gro bromeliad blend soul mix. Seems to be good for epiphytes. I have an Easter cactus planted in it too
