Plant Grower
I am looking for a good grow light. I have heard that LBW Grow Lights are very good. Do any of you own them? What are your thoughts? How much money is it to operate? Thanks for all of your help!

HayleyLove my LBWs!! I have two of the larges and they've been working great for over a year now. I really like that they're so adjustable (both the height and the head angle) and my plants are doing wonderfully with them 😊 I'd say money to operate any led grow light is pretty negligible. One light running 12 hours a day might raise your electric bill $10/year

RosieThey’re useless if the total lumens, ppfd and kelvins (k) doesn’t meet the criteria your plant needs. So you’d want to check that and compare them. Make sure it’s energy efficient and since most lower quality brands avoid adding its rating or the number of lumens it produces you often have to message them

What are the ppfd and kelvins? I have an avocado tree that I plan on using it for.

LBW lists all of that info in their product descriptions. They may be on the lower end regarding cost, but that doesn't mean they're on the lower end of quality.

Lumens and kelvins also don't really matter for plants. Lumen is the amount of visible light a human can see and kelvin is the color temperature of a light. Plants don't care about either of those; they care about the amount of light within the PAR range that reaches their leaves and can be used to grow
