Two questions: Firstly, I just purchased neem oil. I want to make a mixture for pests. I've heard about hydrogen peroxide and alcohol isopropyl. Secondly, I'm wondering about the usage or hydrogen peroxide and alcohol isopropyl. Is it good for watering? Does it disinfect roots? Any ratios/tips?
I do a 1:4 ratio of peroxide to water for both disinfecting roots when I have root rot, and for treating for pests. If you have pests, spay the leaves off to remove what you can, then spray the plant and soil with your peroxide mix. Repeat spraying weekly until pest free I water and spray with neem oil consistently to keep pests away. One good tip if you put it in your spray bottle or a jug, add a small drop off dish soap to keep the neem oil separated!
2 likes okay i'm confused do you use the neem oil for pests, but peroxide also works? Would I make a neem/peroxide mix for treating the pests, and just a water/peroxide mix for roots. Also what about alcohol isopropyl will that help kill pests.
