i’m considering getting a moisture meter because i have a tendency to overwater! would love any recs from folks that have one they like!

    Don’t waist your time! Get a wooden chopstick/skewer. Gently push it into your soil to the bottom, wait 30 seconds or so and then pull it out. Dirt will stick to it at the level of moisture. I’ve used moisture meters in the past and I find they can vary between brands and give inaccurate readings.

    They are not fully reliable. I’ve thrown out two. Use your fingers or a chopstick/meat skewer as Greenleaf recommended. Wait another day or two to water if you are not sure if the soil is dry. 🪴🍀
