This is probably a dumb question, but if certain plants are sensitive to lime in their watering water, do I also need to mist them with lime free water? Watering the roots, and misting the leaves to increase humidity are very different things.
I use distilled in my spray bottle. I tried used both spring and purified water on both my Majesty Palm and Fiddle Leaf, and they did NOT appreciate that 😔.

Hard water will leave lime and other mineral deposits on the leaves. I’m not sure how much will be absorbed. It’s best to mist with filtered water or similar.

Yes. I only use distilled or RO for misting. It also avoids the water spot buildup on the leaves that way.
좋아요 1개Definitely distilled or rain water. I don’t recommend misting foliage, only temporarily increases humidity, risk of powder molds and burnt leaves. Recommend humidifier and/or humidity trays.
