Does anyone know why the app increases the frequency of water so much in the summer time for indoor plants? My house is virtually the same temperature year-round and I'm constantly at risk of over-watering in the summertime or have to snooze multiple times each watering cycle. Is there a way to adjust the app without having to go fully manual on the care schedule?
More hours of sunlight, your plants are photosynthesizing more often and therefore need more water (unless you are using grow lights). I find if you don’t feel the plants need water yet hit the snooze button on the task and click ‘soil is wet’ it’ll adjust the automated schedule eventually without having to go fully manual.

0 J'aime Oh thats weird, maybe it’s something I’ve done in my settings. It could also be that I have an iPhone if you have a different operating system for the app. Sorry I thought that would be more helpful.

I’m not entirely sure but it may be due to your location as well as the plant’s details such as “distance from window”, “pot size”, etc that you fill in

The helpfulness probably depends a lot on where you are in the world as well. It sounds like you’re in quite a climate controlled environment, but where I am in the UK we have a lot of old houses (mine’s built 110 years ago and not considered particularly old) without much insulation and no AC, so it gets hot indoors in the summer and cold in the winter. I definitely need Planta’s change in frequency or my plants would be over watered or dried out. I do also find the “soil is wet” feature helpful for ones that get a bit silly, and also “soil is dry” for plants that aren’t getting frequent enough reminders, so hopefully you’ll be able to get that working!
