I am looking for the best (while also being affordable) plant lights to use in my office and areas of my house that don’t get a lot of sun. How many lights will cover how many plants!? Is it one light per one plant?! Is there a huge difference to white light vs. purple light?! What about LED vs. others?! Is there a kind of light that is better than others?! HELP! *Amazon is not helpful as there are WAY too many options!
I actually built my own grow light using the Sansi grow light bulbs and a five headed floor lamp from target! It allows me to target roughly about 30 plants in my greenhouse bathroom. I would consider first getting a light meter, so you can measure foot candles. Depending on the strength of the light, you can group plants so that some get higher FC versus others. All of the lights that I have are white, and I have them set to warm. I don’t particularly like the blue or purple hue, as they tend to give me a headache. As far as I understand, unless you’re working under greenhouse conditions, that’s largely preferential. However, I could be wrong about that. I do have very good Growth with just my white lights.

I would love to see your greenhouse bathroom Vera!! 😍😍 Getting the light meter first is EXCELLENT advice!!! I’ve had grow lights for 2 years but a plant shop owner just told me to get a light meter it will help with determining how close/far your plants should be from the lamp. Also, different grow lights give off different levels of light - but you won’t know that if you don’t buy a light meter.

2개 좋아요 Oh I’m running a surge protector to be able to plug the bug zapper, light, and humidifier in. 😅 It just have it hidden behind the aglaonema at the bottom of the light.
