The app is telling me to repot a bunch of my plants. is this actually necessary? Is there any logic behind this?

    No it’s a good plan to not follow the app, but to use it as a reminder to check. Any number of things can affect how quickly they need to be watered, repotted, and fertilized that the app just can’t account for. Only repot if roots are coming out, the water isn’t absorbing correctly, or if there’s more roots than soil.

    Houseplants *should* be repotted every year or two, because the soil gets old and has no nutrients left. But I wouldn’t listen to planta’s schedule; listen to your plants 😊

    if you click “more instructions” on the repotting task, there should be a page on how to tell when your plant is ready to be repotted. a premium user or planta staff member might be able to provide more information though, since i don’t have the subscription anymore

    It’s likely a reminder as it’s now growing season (spring) 🪴✨ Just repotted mine after about 1-2 years with fresh soil amendments. My ZZ did not want to come out 😅
