hi guys!! hope you're having a good weekend so far! what are some of yor favorite scissors or shears to use for pruning or chopping plants? the ones i have are not stainless steel, so they've been getting rusty, and they turn black when i try to sterilize them with isopropl alchohol. tia :)
The brand name has long since rubbed off, but I went to a craft store and got sturdy, short-bladed craft shears for like $7. They're incredible. They don't look at all like they'd be up to the task of cutting a thick (2cm diameter) monstera stem but they did the job!
좋아요 1개 Oh also, in the mean time, try cleaning your scissors with vinegar on a scouring pad when they rust. Then, put a drop of mineral oil on a paper towel and rub it all over the metal. Give them a wipe down with a dry paper towel before using them on your plants!
