I had a weird idea and want to know y’all’s thoughts. Would it work if I put grow lights in my ceiling light fixtures that are already there? Could I get grow lights that would fit? lol. I don’t love the look of normal grow lights but would like to have some for a few of my plants. Thoughts? 😂😂
they’ll likely be too far away from your plants to make a significant impact i think :/
3 Me gusta you can get cute and relatively inexpensive pendant lamps or wall mounted lamps to put grow lights in. soltech grow lights are a bit pricier, but they aren’t ugly purple or bright white and they have gently used ones available on their website

I do have grow light bulbs in a pendant ceiling fixture. The key is to have the plants within 1 ft to 2 ft of the light. The light’s intensity drops off tremendously with increasing distance unless you are buying the high end $80+ bulbs. You can check the lumens at sample distances from the bulb with a light meter.

i have a 24W sansi bulb hanging from the ceiling and plenty of happy plants under it. shelving and plant stands are helpful to get those that prefer brighter light closer.
