Hey y’all! Complete newb here with zero knowledge of plants. I bought my first 4 plants yesterday. I was too excited ordering my plant supplies on Amazon last night. I’d love if someone can let me know if there’s any supplies I’m missing? My Amazon Plant Care Kit: • Sticky yellow gnat traps (small size) • Neem oil spray • Insecticidal soap • Watering can • Long-spout squeeze bottle for precision watering • Moisture meter (digital not required, but I got one) • Humidity gauge/thermometer (I got 3 for different rooms) • Micro-tip pruning scissors • Plant-cleaning microfiber cloths • Soil scoops • Peroxide for pest prevention • Clear cups for isolating/observing plants • Clear nursery pots • Catch trays for bottom-watering • Hydrogen peroxide (for sterilizing and fungus gnat prevention) 🌿 My Growing Little Plant Family 🌿 Just brought home my very first four plants ever, and I’m obsessed already ✨ • Dracaena Compacta • Monstera deliciosa • Homalomena (Emerald Gem) • Maranta leuconeura (prayer plant clipping ✨)

    You could use fertilizer. And at least 2 spray bottles or misters, one for the pest prevention mix and one for water to create humidity for the tropical plants. If have trailing plants, plant clips or plant straps (green velcro rolls)

    Focus foliage and super thrive are two good general fertilizers. I only have focus foliage right now. I’ve heard that cal mag and sea kelp and silica are good additions. I have tried them yet. I’m also new to plants. You should check out the whatnot app. This is where I have met other plant lovers and learned from them and buy from them.

    Welcome to the family! It looks like your list is off to a good start. I posted a couple of days ago about clear pots and the consensus is that they need to go into a cover pot because roots do not like lighting and it will cause algae to grow on the roots. Be sure to share pics of your new plants in the show your plants group!

    You sound so excited! Have fun. If do not have excellent natural light in your plant area, maybe a plant light. You are off to a great start thought. I have an Emerald Green and it is in a south-facing window (cloudy wintry northern Michigan) and it does well in that light.
