Can I use this mixture for my Pink Philodendron? If not, what mixture do you recommend? Preferably something I do not have to make myself. I live on campus and do not quite yet have access to the luxury of mixing stuff myself.

    Hmmm it’s probably not the best, aroids like very well draining chunky soil that won’t get dense and muddy over time, I’d do something like this or similar

      Totally, of course! Definitely always out for a bargain but something that always won’t kill my plants lol 😊

    I don't have soil recommendation but I'm glad Alyssa was able to recommend something, because I hated this soil so much 😭😭😭😭 I bought a big bag of it and regretted for a year until I finally ran out of it...

      Oops đŸ„čđŸ„č very slow drainage(puddle of water on top) and lack of plant growth đŸ„č but mine might have been a bad batch or something... who knows, your bag might work wonders for you! Because every house's environment is different...

      Add orchid bark and perlite, I also added worm castings and charcoal! Always ways to better the soil!! đŸ„° I just repotted yesterday and already see growth from this mix I use!!

    i like sol soil’s mixes and those from repotme dot com. i’ve also heard good things about molly’s aroid mix and bros with hoes’ dirt bag. rosy soil is another more eco-friendly option but on the pricier side. i prefer sol soil’s mixes since they don’t decompose as readily and most of the materials can be reused. they’re fantastic for plant parents who tend to give their plants too much love or attention (aka overwatering). as someone who tends to neglect or underwater plants, i like mixing my own soil (coco coir, perlite, and worm castings) with chunky amendments like pumice, coarse perlite, and coco chips to appropriate ratios for the plant’s preference.
