Broke down and got a moisture meter, sick of having to guess by a finger test if plants are wet or dry or somewhere in between lol

    I need to use mine more I bottom water so it’s hard to tell sometimes

    I like the knitting needle. Wet dirt clings to the needle while dry dirt does not. Think of it like a cake in the oven… same kind of concept of putting a tooth pick in it to check for “doneness”

      Ah that’s a really good idea, makes total sense too

      I do this too but with a cocktail stick for the small pots and a metal bbq skewer for the big pots

    I did too. I would always get mixed results, and end up overwatering using my finger.
