Would pea gravel pebbles used for bonsai be appropriate for use in pebble trays for all plants? (asks Captain Obvious?)

    These are glass, and so should be inert. But they'd be fine too use in a tray for a humid loving plants. The only thing you would want to be careful of is if you were using something that had high mineral content, and if the plant was able to come in contact with them.
