i recently fell in love with plants, but in so many ways feel like a newbie. any advice on product/care for cleaning leaves?

    My advice is not to waste money on products for this! 😊 I use a microfiber cloth — that’s it! And spray my plants that will tolerate it down in the shower from time to time

    Microfiber gloves are key! I have yet to find the perfect mix/spray to get the white film off the leaves of plants from a greenhouse

    Microfiber is a godsend! No need for products. Also just mist my plants every so often which helps with the dust build up

    Yep I agree not to get anything special for this. I just use an old makeup brush for pest treatment and dusting leaves because it gets into the crevices of the leaf.

    Vinegar diluted with water removes water spots especially if you buy plants from Florida. Water spots are common on plants from Florida.

    I normally recommend a neem oil, drop of soap, & distilled water solution for cleaning and shining, but some sensitive plants’ leaves don’t like the neem oil (sorry bird’s nest fern 🤦🏻‍♀️). I recently started using Captain Jack’s insecticidal soap, and I quite like it. Cleans the leaves without damaging them, and kills pests. For something like a fern I rinse the leaves after letting the soap sit for 5–10 minutes. I hope this helps!
