Hello! So I wanted to better look after my 3 plants, can anyone recommend fertilizer/plant food? Didn’t know there was such thing as stick fertilizer till this app. (I feel so bad for neglecting my plants, so they really need a pick-me-up). I am looking on amazon but honestly I don’t trust the recommendations there, I’d rather get advice from people who know best from on here. Thank you in advance!
I use different fertilizer and additives depending on the plants. The extra large pots about 18 inches diameter get organic manure (cow, chicken, human) fertilizer as a top dressing each spring. Liquid fish and sea weed fertilizer are mild. I haven’t used them in a few years on indoor plants because of the smell. Now, I use the Jobes Tree Spikes around trees and shrubs in my yards and not in my potted plants. I use Osmocote granules as a timed release fertilizer for potted plants. Osmocote lasts about 9 months before they lose effectiveness. I use diluted MiracleGro blue fertilizer granules on plants kept in water or sensitive plants. I use SuperThrive plant vitamins on cuttings and with each watering cycle. I use MosquitoBits in the soil and as a mix in when watering to prevent pests living in the soil. It’s not fertilizer. But, it’s essential to keep pests under control and keep my plants thriving. 🍀🪴🐮🐔🐠🚻🌱
