    Totally! I recently sorted out ~30 plants from my collection that I’m ready to sell or give away. I didn’t want to let go of terra cotta pots and especially not any of my few glazed pots. Luckily I save too many things and I had plenty of nursery pots to transfer to. I was able to reuse some plastic and save myself some coin 👍

    I use take out containers (often clear!) and yogurt tubs! With a saudering iron (in a ventilated space with a mask) I burn drainage holes in them.

      Right?? And it reassures me when it comes to watering. Then I can see moisture and make sure soil isn’t hydrophobic

      i do the same with the take out containers ! when i’m at restaurants i pick up a few of the small black condiment cups to take home and poke holes for small props😂

      wait does the clear not cause algae? i tried it once with a bulb lily and the entire thing rotted and grew algae ☹️

      I put them inside decorative pots :)

      I think it depends on the plant. Currently my plants in clear pots are succulents, so they don’t stay wet enough for algae

    My grandmother was a ~reasonable~ kind of hoarder and kept every glass container she ever got, old sauce bottles (soy sauce), old peanut butter jars (SO OLD clearly) and recently staying at her apt to work on the estate, and it has been such a touching experience to repurpose the jars to bring more life into the world🫶🏻 I know she’d be happy I’m using them for something :’)

    I totally agree! But just realized I need to stop saving e.v.e.r.y “OHHH THIS COLD BE A POT”-container. They’re taking over my storage 😅
