    I bought the plastic pole from Amazon & some sphagnum moss to stuff it with. The specific one I got is a semi circle with an enclosed back to retain moisture a little better. So far it’s been a little less than a month but I already have an aerial root growing into the moss & constant growth with this one.

    I’ve heard tons about Etsy sellers and their rendition of moss poles most common ones on market are good for what it is just lack longevity if that makes sense

    It’s so easy to make them and way more cost effective Unless you only need one. $40-$50 in supplies and you can make tons of them. Plastic or metal mesh, moss and zip ties.

    I went to my local garden store and bought a big plastic garden stake, 10 ft long. I had my husband use his chop saw to cut it to length and then I wrapped it with twine. It took a bit of time to wrap it, but I just put on a movie and went to work. Wear gloves because the pokey twine will cause blisters after you're pulling on it for an hour. 👌 This was much less expensive than getting a prefabricated pole because of the height I needed. My adensonii is almost 15 ft long so I had to figure something out! The garden center typically has all kind of bamboo and wood stakes. I usually grab a few in different sizes to keep on hand, and then use little plant clips to attach the plant.

    Oh! And I will also check the classifieds or other thrift sites and garage sales. Lots of people have ones for sale or free!
