I live in an apartment that's very dark. The only room that has some good direct sunlight is my bedroom, and (according to Planta's light meter) once I'm about one foot away from my window it's considered dark. I think it's cause, even though my bedroom has a south-facing window, it's underneath a large covered porch. So the light is sorta filtered naturally without any shades in place. Anyways, I was wondering about cute grow lights that can cover large areas. I want to place plants throughout my bedroom, living room, and kitchen. Right now they are all clustered around my bedroom windowsill 🙃

    They have grow lights with long individual arms like an octopus that comes on tripod. They cover large areas. Not sure if you can call them cute. You can get a cute lamp and add a grow light bulb. They have clip on lamps and small lamps that stick in a pot, powered through a usb. Many options to choose. Just google it or search Amazon. Many are affordable. Your number of plants and layout will drive the type of lamp you need.

    You can also buy a “bulb” grow light, cheap pendulum light kit and a straw basket to make a lamp if that’s your vibe. There are tons of YouTube videos that show you how
