Hi guys I’m new to growing and exploring and I wanted to start by taking care and loving 🪴 My job gave me this plant almost a month ago. The first picture is when I first received her and second one is a picture from today. I don’t know nothing about taking care of her and little bugs are growing on her, I tried to remove them but they come back… I don’t take her outside I leave her inside because I don’t want someone to take her or damage her. Any help would be great I’m open to learn 🫡

    Looks like a pepper plant, possibly a bell pepper. 🌶️ 🫑 It’s hard to tell. Assuming it’s a pepper plant, repotting, fertilizer and sunlight are essential to produce flowers and peppers. Repot. I would start with a larger than normal 8” to 10” wide pot to ensure you have a good root system to produce more veggies. Remove most of the old soil without damaging the roots. Use rooting hormone powder to boost the roots. Water when soil dries out 1 inch. Place in very bright light a week. Then, move to direct sun. Hopefully, this will get rid of most insects and eggs/larvae from the soil. It should boost new growth. Fertilize with veggie fertilizer per direction. Treat the insects with neem oil or insecticidal soap. My guess the bugs are fungus gnats. Treat fungus gnats with insecticidal granules on top of the soil and yellow sticky fly paper. All are available online.

    What kind of little bugs? Someone else mentioned neem oil, I highly recommend it. It has killed everything from gnats to spider mites to white flies for me.

      I’m not sure they are real small and black they look like little dots ☹️ I never seen them before until I started growing plants.

      Are they moving? They could be insect poop or aphid eggs, if they’re not moving. If they are moving, they could be black spider mites, or black aphids. That’s about where my expertise ends.
