This is my temporary setup to provide grow lights to some plants until March when it’s warm enough to put them back outside. My plants live outside most of the year. I’m in zone 9a on the Texas gulf coast. I have more plants than shelves. I bought some clip on shop light fixtures (~$15 each) from Lowes. I added grow light bulbs (~2600 lumens). I also bought green grow light racks. They come in 2 ft and 4 ft widths. A 2ft rack is shown. I found my plants are too tall. The rectangular grow lights are shaped like large iPads and hang too low. This setup works for the short term. It gives me options to keep my alive as repair and remodel starts later this year when I can’t keep my plants outside.
