Anyone have any suggestions for my White Fusion? She was doing so well and then all of the sudden, bam, started drooping. I missed watering by only one day! I've been very consistent since I heard she is finiky. Her soil stays lightly moist and she's partially under a grow light. Only thing I can think is humidity? My apartment averages 50% 🤷🏼♀️
I keep mine at 60% and if my humidifier doesn’t keep it consistent it’s enough for mine to get droopy and even crinkle up and brown. I think it’s more about a constant and consistent humidity. Small drafts are enough to really anger the fusion. Don’t even look at it wrong 😑 And yes, 1 day late watering, we might think this is acceptable, but you may have noticed.. the fusion does not. I will say, I split mine and put one in a grow cabinet that sits at 80% and that fusion is much more forgiving to me
2 gillningarThank you!! Now that you say that, I did turn on my ceiling fan that day and left it on for air to my other plants. On low. 😳 Dang it! What a diva. Do you ever see them bounce back after starting to droop??
1 gilla Yours looks very bounce-back-able but I have definitely had to wait for completely new leaves to cut off my mistakes a couple different times. The main thing is to learn. This plant is going to teach you with tough love but all your other plants are going to benefit from the lessons. No matter what don’t give up, there will be good times and bad times, if all your leaves white parts turn brown just grow new leaves and cut those off later. Enjoy the good moments, definitely take good pics when it’s looking great. Just do your best! My two other strong recommendations that both require different levels of unusual dedication. Distilled water, not RO, not filtered. And PH balance your water. plants want between 5.5-6.5ph They both are only for the people trying to push for the best results. But if that’s what you want you will see results with those changes.
3 gillningarThank you! This is great info and encouragement. I'm definitely determined to figure it out! I will look into the difference between distilled and RO. I knew they were finiky about water but figured RO would be ok! This will definitely be a trial an error. I shut off the fan first to see if it just doesn't like the draft. I'll add changes slowly after that and watch. 😊. Thanks again!

As a humidity trick I bring my plants into the bathroom as I have a shower (our fan doesn’t work so it gets veryyyy humid)
