Don’t know the name of this plant but would love to know if yellow leaves could be from heat? I had it in a window and we reached 110 degrees yesterday.

    more likely a watering issue than heat. this looks like a bird of paradise or banana plant of some variety, i think

    It’s a Bird of paradise. If you see brown crispy mark on it than it’s from heat damage. If it’s yellowing it’s more than likely too much water. Put your finger in it and see if the soil is wet. If so just let the soil dry out and then start watering and misting it again. But not too much. Lmk if you need more help I have one and mine went through this before
