Lil’ chili

I just got this really cute little Venus flytrap :D I would appreciate any tips for letting it thrive so it can get bigger. I currently have it outside in a tray of water

    seems like you have it in a pretty good set up so far! just make sure to use distilled or rain water! bog plants are very sensitive to any fertilizer or chemicals & harsh minerals in their soil/water. and for light, these guys like at least 6 hrs of direct light! you have it outside, so it will catch all the food it needs on its own :) each trap can close 4-5 times before dying off, so prevent triggering the traps unles you are manually feeding it. if you see any black leaves, just prune them; its part of the natural life cycle and will allow for more new growth! during winter, a lot of (if not all) carnivorous plants go into dormancy, and you can find some great informative vids on youtube when that season rolls around. good luck!!
