Fertilizer hack: I have a jug of fertilizer under the kitchen sink to pull out when I have plants to fertilize. If you also keep a container pre-filled, I have a great time-saver to share. When you're mixing up your liquid fertilizer, make it double-strength. Then fill your watering device half full of the mix, and then fill the container to the top to dilute to the proper concentration. Then you're not mixing up a new jug every few days. 👌
I used to have a fertilizer that said not to mix in advance. Needless to say, I don’t use that one anymore lol. But I wonder why it said that 🤔 Definitely easier to have a liquid mix on hand when you have a big collection!

After a period of time, the nutrients can degrade or have chemical reactions that alter potency and create a nutrient lockout

also if it’s organic fertilizer the nutrients will start to break down and it’ll create pressure in a sealed container, and stink quite a bit

좋아요 1개 i use organics so i never ever pre-mix fertilizer, once the powder is added to the water all the fungi in there get revived and i’d rather they’re working in my plants than in the water
2개 좋아요 I have so many plants I can easily go through a gallon when I have to fertilize. I also use the fertilizer on my garden. My fertilizer is a kelp-based one and it steeps for 3 days before I strain and use. It's awesome!
