Quick poll: When I re-pot or clean my plants, I never wear gloves. I like to feel the soil and the plant as a subjective assessment of the health of the plant. I find it interesting that when you see a tv show or advertisement for something planty, the owner is wearing gardening gloves. Do you tend your plants with bare hands, or are you a glove person?
I always start with gloves when I work in the garden 😀 Five minutes later….they’re gone! I just don’t have it in me….😀😀

Depends, if I’m working with a plant I know has some root issues and/or I need to really work the roots to get all the old soil out I’ll go bare hands because I can be more gentle. But if it’s just a casual repotting I’ll wear gloves. I know this sounds very diva-y (not that that’s a bad thing it’s just not me) but I cannot stand the feeling of dirt under my nails, I don’t know why.🤷♀️

Bare hands all the way! I want that soil giving me a boost of love and nutrient dopamine. Plus its easier to feel things and do things and its too hot and sweaty with gloves and I’m lazy to get them. 😜 All the things.
