    english ivy! very tolerant of over watering (compared to most house plants) and it grows like a weed so you feel like the best plant parent ever! mine has grown about 2 feet on each vine in a year

    Honestly you gotta figure out how committed you are to plants and go out and learn about some, and find one you like and fits your situation and lifestyle. There realistically isn’t such thing as an easy beginner plant because even those can be hard at times, like people say moss cultivation is easy I can’t keep moss green for my life and yet it’s labeled as a beginner plant. It’s kinda just experimental stuff to be fair.

    And the site is super important— how much sun, heat, humidity etc. So it’s a bit of a matching game to find the right plant for the habitat you can offer.

    I have to say kalanchoes!! They are one of my favorite plants- they are fine if you forget to water them and they root super super easily from cuttings (so if one ever gets root rot its easy to save! A long time ago one of mine did and I actually rooted the entire crown of the plant in water and just replanted it!) and for an extra challenge if you want, you can convince them to flower by shortening their daylight hours and the resulting blooms are super cute! Not to mention there are lots of varieties & colors that are fun to collect :)

    Echeveria. Is fairly easy and pretty! It really helped me learn the ropes of botany.
